Original & Unique
Each Christopher Farr rug is a unique handmade object, an unrepeatable synthesis of contemporary design and traditional craft skills.

Made from exceptionally high quality wool, hand spun and hand dyed, every rug or flatweave has subtle variations of tone and texture which give it an extraordinary visual richness.

Christopher Farr Designs
Christopher Farr, who trained as an artist, has a painter's eye for colour and form which is clearly expressed in the collection of rugs he designs each year, created to complement contemporary architecture and interiors. Christopher Farr also works with architects and clients around the world to create one-off pieces for particular spaces.

Artist Collection
In addition, rugs are commissioned from leading artists and designers to form the Artist Collection. Contributors to the Artist Collection include Gillian Ayres, Romeo Gigli, Rifat Ozbek, Allegra Hicks, Georgina Von Etzdorf, Gary Hume and Kate Blee. Clients can also commission any of the artists or designers to create a bespoke design.

The Company
Christopher Farr was established in London in 1988. Farr and his partner Matthew Bourne are experts in antique rugs and textiles and their love of traditional rugs is the foundation on which the company's work has developed. Christopher Farr has a retail outlet in London and sells rugs and flatweaves worldwide through selected outlets.
